Waiting

“Really?, OMG “

She couldn’t believe her ears when she heard the news. She felt like crying aloud; cry of happiness. Pinching herself and wiping tears she sat motionless, facing the doctor. It was totally unbelievable, her husband was getting discharged from the hospital. It has been about 2 long years, and now its just one more day..
** ** **
She could hardly stand when the doctors diagnosed lung cancer in Abel. A mild chest pain has turned her life around. It took away all the happiness from their life spreading darkness. Two years of suffering has taken its toll on her.
Chemotherapy, radiotherapy along with surgeries kept her life fully occupied. She used to sit near him, looking at his eyes without uttering a single word. The beautiful days were over  and it was hard for her to accept the reality. Her eyes were always filled, which made Abel even worse. They loved silently, cried silently..

She stood up from the couch after talking to Abel. She wanted to decorate their house as lovely as possible to welcome back Abel. She smiled when she replaced the curtains with new ones, when she replaced the dried flowers in the vases. She got everything back in her life, happiness was knocking at the door. She made all his favorite dishes and arranged on the table.
‘Perfect’ she smiled and sighed.

It was dawn.
Streets were getting busy with the heavy traffic. A taxi from the hospital joined the heavy traffic and moved.
The high decibels of the traffic didn’t seem bothering them. They both were smiling while returning back to home. Abel was feeling so relaxed. Watching everything after two long years. He kept her close to him, consoling her and promising rest of his life to her.
She kept on weeping but she wore her smile. It was quite unexpected recovery, even for the doctors. No one believed that Abel would come back to life, except her. Tears blurred her vision.
SSSPPLAASSHH….
For a second all went dark. Abel tried to understand what was happening. Blood everywhere, yelling, and their smashed car.
*** ** ** **
“What? I wont believe this”
“But you have to”
“Doctor… “
“We are sorry.. we couldn’t help her”
Abel fell on his knees. He had lost her in the accident.

Glacier National Park: Day 1- Grinnell Glacier

Glaciers are formed by the repeated snowfalls in winter, and snow melts in summer. When snow accumulates by each passing snow fall, the snow becomes ice and heavy. This causes the mass of ice+snow to move around shaping and corroding the rocks. For this reason the mountains surrounding the glaciers will have very unique shapes, steep drop off points and can have sharp edges. Sad thing though, as temperature increases by global warming, the snow gets time to melt away and glaciers will slowly disappear. I read that, glacier national park had so many glaciers, which now dont even exist.

Glacier National park: Day 2- HighLine Trail

Our plans for the second day at glacier was to drive the 'Going to the sun road', and hike the HighLine trail. Going to the sun road is 50 mile very scenic drive through the mountains. It can be accessed from the east entrance at St Mary or the west entrance at West Glacier. We chose St mary, thinking we could watch the sunrise over St Mary lake when we start the day. The scenic road can be done by park's free shuttle system too. They are free and make stops at all attraction points along the route. Since we had to reach the other side of the mountain, we took our car.  The highest point on the route is Logan Pass which is home to two very beautiful and breathtaking trails, Hidden Lake trail and HighLine trail. The 12 mile HighLine trail is carved through the Garden Wall mountain ranges, you walk through a very narrow trail which is made right through the mountain. Though a lil scary this is a highlight of Glacier National Park. They also have a hand rail hung to the m

La La Land

This is one of the trips that I thought would be a fully urban feel and turned out not to be! La has its own fair share of everything;beaches, canyons, markets, gardens and the posh city life. We reached LA on the night of 26th April. We were staying near to the beaches, so it was a short drive from airport. Once we landed we grabbed dinner and shopped for water and snacks for the rest of the week. By around 10'o clock we were all set to hit the bed.
