It was curfew. Terrorists had attacked the city. People were forbidden to get out of their houses. Streets were deserted and foggy. The atmosphere was a blend of mist and tears. The smell of bombs and blood made a thick blanket over the city.
But I was feeling so cared.
Rohith...; having him with me was the only thing which kept me alive. Within short span of days Rohith became so close to me. He tried to keep me happy but in vain.
I couldn’t keep my eyes dry.
“Shruthy, Don’t cry again”, Rohith was sitting on the floor holding my chair. My tears always made him go crazy.
“My parents...” I burst into tears and I couldn’t complete that sentence. I have lost them in the riot.
“I am with you, Shruthy” He voice was promising but I could see the tears in his eyes. Though stranger, he always behaved as if he has some courtesy towards me.
The memories of the riot flashed before my eyes. The bomb blast had almost turned my house into ashes. I was the only one who escaped. I had no one. I couldn’t do anything other than falling into my knees and screaming.
It was then; Rohith came to me and took me to his house.
Mere sympathy. I sighed.
Police wanted me to help them by giving evidences, but I had already lost my trust on them. I confined myself to Rohith, like a snail curling into its shell.

It was dawn. I was lying on the couch. I kept my eyes closed as if I didn’t want to face the realities.
It was not more than three days since the terrorist attack. People were trying to return to their normal life. But I couldn’t, for I‘ve lost everyone in my life and Rohith was still a mystery for me.
I heard the knock on the door. I wondered who it would be in this early morning.
“Mr. Rohith Gulati, you are under arrest”, the voice was piercing my ears. I darted to the door.
Rohith was standing there in handcuffs, with a pleading gaze. I couldn’t believe my eyes.
“What is going on?”, I yelled at the cops gripping Rohith’s hand.
“Who is she? “, I heard the inspector asking to the mob of cops standing over there. Somebody answered something but I didn’t get that. I was furious, with burning eyes.
“Set him free”, i winced and shouted, hoping to stop them.
“We are sorry ma’m, Rohith was the Master brain behind this terrorist attack”, Said the inspector.
